How food diet and terminal illnesses are related
LS202412A healthy diet is important for our health, well-being, growth and development. It protects us against all forms of malnutrition and illnesses.
“When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. When diet is correct, medicine is of no need.”
Unhealthy diet contributes to the development of many chronic conditions. A healthy diet is essential for good health and nutrition. That's where the saying, "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away" comes to mind. Nutrition affects the development of the human body's immune system. Especially, it can influence the emergence of infectious diseases. Having too much sugar, salt, or fat in your diet can raise your risk for certain diseases. Healthy eating can lower your risk for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and other health conditions. Studies have even shown healthy eating can prolong our lifespan and protect us from getting chronic diseases or terminal illnesses. Therefore it is very important for us to start eating right so we can keep ourselves healthy and possibly not have to go to the doctor's as often, although we do need to go for medical checkups to ensure that our health is on the right path!
