Good roots are good characteristics and behavoiurs taught by parents, schools and suroundings.
People learnt good behaviours from people around them. Parents with good behaviours will teach their children similar behaviours and those bad behaviours will also teach them bad. For example if parents keep using vulgarities the children may also use them as they think it is the norm. On the other hand if parents always volunteer and donate, the children may also follow.
